Welcome
On behalf of our children, staff and Governors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Balksbury Federation.
Rooted in our local community and built on a site with a rich history, our Federation is a place where every child belongs. Our schools are happy, nurturing and aspirational communities where children are known, valued and encouraged to flourish. We recognise every child as a unique individual, celebrating their strengths, nurturing their potential and supporting them to grow in confidence.
At the heart of our Federation is a commitment to inspirational teaching and high-quality learning. We want children to be curious, motivated and resilient learners. Through excellent teaching, first-hand experiences, collaboration and opportunities to think independently, we develop the knowledge, skills and confidence children need to succeed and to shape their own futures.
Respect, Perseverance and Collaboration are at the heart of our Federation. These values guide how we learn, how we treat one another and how we contribute to our communities. We create the spaces where children learn to value themselves and others, persevere when things are challenging, take responsibility for their choices and recognise the strength that comes from working together.
We believe communication is fundamental to learning and life, developing confident, articulate children who listen, understand and build positive relationships. Through warmth, nurture, challenge and opportunity, we are ambitious for every child, enabling them to become confident, capable and responsible citizens who believe in themselves and make a positive difference to their communities.
Our Federation are communities where learning, laughter and belonging go hand in hand. We value the partnership between home and school and recognise that children thrive when families and staff work together. We look forward to building those relationships and sharing in the successes, experiences and journey of every child.
At Balksbury Federation, we are proud to be a community learning and growing together.
